When Should Your Child Visit an Orthodontist

A common question we hear is “when should I first bring my child to your office?” The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that a child first see an orthodontist by the age of 7. While it may seem early to some, seeing an orthodontist at this age provides the specialist an opportunity to evaluate the child and determine whether any intervention is necessary or if the child should be observed while the teeth and jaw continue to develop.
